Don Caccavo

I started my passion for cooking at 17 years old following in my dad's footsteps who was one of the greatest chefs in the New York and New Jersy area. I had crafted my culinary skills from him and various chefs growing up.  At 32 years old I assumed the reins of our family restaurant.  My trade brought me to New Jersey then to Pennsylvania where I ran the kitchen at the Cork Bar and Grill. There I combined Northern and Southern Italian cuisine.  After some time there I moved on to the chef position at Split Rock Resort on Lake Harmony Pa., then to Mt. Airy Casino Resort.  In between stops at  New Jersey and Pennsylvania I took a chef position for Coast to Coast Motion Caterers as a mobil catering chef for Law and Order, Spike TV and Cold Case. 
My wife Marissa and I settled in Sarasota Florida and purchased the Mona Lisa Restaurant in 2012. Each and everyday we both give our heart and soul to make everyone feel special.  Our regulars know us this way.... Marissa is the face of Mona Lisa & Don is the taste of Mona Lisa.
